BMW 6-Series Coupe Frozen Silver Edition announced

The German based automaker BMW has recently announced its intention to unveil a special edition of the 6-Series Coupe, which will be named the Coupe Frozen Silver Edition.

After announcing the X6 Performance Edition not too long ago, the carmaker has went to another creation, based on the 6-Series Coupe. According to the car manufacturer, the BMW 6-Series Coupe Frozen Silver Edition will be based on the 650i, which starts at 99,295 USD over-seas, and on the 650i xDrive, priced from 102 695 USD. BMW says that the 6-Series Coupe Frozen Silver Edition is coming with a silver paint finish, just like its name is saying, along with black mirror caps.
Besides these, the BMW 6-Series Coupe Frozen Silver Edition will also get the M Sport Package, along with M Performance alloy wheels or 20-inch Ferric Gray rims, the black Nappa leather, the Grapy Popular wood, the ski storage bag or the heated steering wheel. The BMW 6-Series Coupe Frozen Silver Edition will become available in just 55 units and its deliveries will start in December. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its launch.

BMW recalls 1.3 million 5 and 6 series models

BMW is recalling many of their cars due to a potential battery problem that could in extreme cases result in a fire.

The only cars that are receiving the recall are the BMW 5series and 6series between the years of 2003-2010.

It said the battery cable cover may be incorrectly mounted.

A company statement said: “In order to carry out a quality measure, BMW is recalling all BMW 5 and 6 Series models of the previous generation, built between 2003 and 2010 and still on the market, for repair at authorized dealers.

“This can result in the electrical system malfunctioning, the vehicle failing to start and, in some cases, to charring or fire.”

The weight is relatively light at 650kg, the expensive vehicle is able to reach travel at high speeds. The makers say the powerful engine means its can reach more than 150pmh. It also comes with 18″ rims and racing slick tires.

The 3-series is one of Bmw’s best sellers, Bmw would never part ways with the 3-series.
