Okay, your car battery is dead, but luckily your buddies are here to provide you with a boost, luckily for you, you read this guide and now know how to properly jump a car without electrocuting yourself.

Step 1

Make sure both vehichles are off and parked at a distance where the cable can connect to the batteries.

Step 2

Connect red cable to positive (red) of good battery
Connect red cable to positive (red) of dead battery
Connect Black cable to negative (black) to good battery
Connect Black cable to negative (black) to dead battery

Step 3

Start the car with good battery, then start the car with the dead battery, if connections are secure and procedures were followed your dead car should be fine now.

Step 4

Disconnect the cable in no particular order, just remember to not make contact with the metal parts of the cable and to not let the red and black touch
