Mitsubishi 665-inch Diamond Vision display in Japan

The Tochigi Green Stadium is the home of Japan’s J League professional soccer team Tochigi SC. They have recently added a new toy to their stadium, a 665-inch Diamond Vision display jumbotron!

The Diamond Vision display from Mitsubishi will feature 832 horizontal scanning lines, and that would clearly place it as the third-highest resolution among all soccer stadiums throughout Japan. It will rely on the latest light-emitting diode (LED) chips and Mitsubishi Electric’s display control technology.

Capsules Made to Survive Upcoming Tsunamis

A Japanese company has come out with a tennis ball like capsule that floats, to prepare for upcoming tsunamis and earthquakes.

The company Cosmo has come up with a little capsule called “Noah.” Noah is a fiberglass made shelter that can float and could of saved many lives from the last tsunami.

Noah can hold up to 4 adults, with breathing ducts and its ability to float it is an ideal item to have in preparations to natural disasters. Noah also survived many crash tests and the company has received over 600 orders upon the release

Calorie Burning Underwear Available in Japan

The citizens of Japan who are interested in losing weight are putting on the new underwear which claims to burn hundreds of calories a week, just by wearing them.

The pants are made out with non-elasticated material which the company claims it will make it more difficult for your muscles to walk or climb stairs.

According to the Tokyo-based Goldwin company, they have claimed that a 140lb man who walks 90 minutes a day with the underwear one will lose 210 kilo-calories a week

These underpants are selling for £23.52 (Y2,940) in Japan. The secret is a resin which is printed on the frabic to increase tension.

“The Calorie Shaper Pant technology focuses on the hipline which is the area used by people when walking and climbing stairs. The material here is non-expandable which means they must use their muscles more.”

The underwear is the latest in a string of innovative products designed to help Japan’s workforce stem a surge in the overweight.
